I feel like there’s a term for when a saying becomes a reality. Well, whether there is or not, this project was an attempt to respond to something I often say, “You are what you record”. That is, you can see yourself by looking into your VCR. A person sees a strange image on the TV. They might wonder what is being playing by the VCR. They may start to notice that as they stand there, fidgeting, their movement is corresponding with slight changes in the image. They might finally pry open the door on the front of the VCR to find their bright face now showing up on the TV screen. Do you often look inside a VCR? I do.
